| Description: | Duranium armor was developed when high energy weapons became common. Standard body armour did not offer any protection against high energy weapons, which is why new materials that would provide sufficient protection to the wearer had to be developed. Duranium is one of these materials and provides decent protection against energy weapons, even though it means less protection against projectile weapons. |
